2007/2008
Winter Fuels Outlook Conference
October 9, 2007 - 8:00am - 3:00pm
National Press Club, 529 14th Street NW,
Washington, DC.
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy
Reliability, Energy Information Administration, and the National
Association of State Energy Officials invite you to participate in the
2007-2008 Winter Fuels Conference. This supply and demand forecast event
will be on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm at the
National Press Club, 529 14th Street NW, Washington, DC.
Global oil supply uncertainty and high demand for heating fuels may
increase the potential for supply/distribution problems this winter.
Minor problems in the distribution system can cause price volatility
with potential prices surges in localized regions. The transition to
ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel for industrial transportation also carries
the potential for supply delays.
To help inform the energy community about the current situation, this
conference will include EIA’s Winter Fuels Outlook along with
presentations by industry representatives and energy experts.
