Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block
Grants (Recovery Act)
We are aware that some of you are
receiving questions from EECBG formula
cities and counties about the formula
grant application content and process.
This series of documents should be
helpful both to you and your staff in
providing assistance as well as to the
formula cities and counties as they move
through the EECBG grant application
process. Here are three complete sample
grant applications for formula cities
and counties:
-
Combined EE/RE example that covers
three project examples (LED
lighting, design and implementation
of ESPC program, PV panels on a fire
station)
-
RE example that is one project for
PV installed on three municipal
buildings
-
Transportation example that has two
project examples (traffic signal
synchronization and an
idle-reduction program for municipal
vehicles)
Each sample grant application package
contains a completed Project Activity
Worksheet for each project, an Energy
Efficiency and Conservation Strategy (EECS)
and all the required forms and
certifications.
In addition to the sample grant
application packages, there is also a
three-page
How-to document that takes the
applicant completely through the process
from registering with FedConnect to
access the Funding Opportunity
Announcement and amendments, downloading
the application package and preparation
instructions from Grants.gov.,
step-by-step instructions for completing
all required forms and documents,
including uploading the documents into
the grants.gov application, and finally
submitting the application through
FedConnect.
Also attached is a
PowerPoint from the American Public
Power Association Stimulus Funding
Workshop on EECBG applications.
