NASEO Committees

The National Association of State Energy Official’s (NASEO) committees are the formal mechanism for members to work on NASEO’s top priorities and ongoing issues. The primary role of the committees is to identify emerging issues that are relevant to the state and territory energy offices. The committees collect, analyze, and disseminate information about these emerging issues and work to educate members and others. The committees’ work helps to guide the association’s strategic direction and, where appropriate, builds consensus on issues.

Committees also play an integral role in setting NASEO’s annual Issues Agenda. The organization’s Issues Agenda defines NASEO’s top advocacy priorities and sets the tone for staff and organizational activities for the coming year. Committees work with the Issues Agenda Committee as part of the agenda development process. All NASEO committees have similar responsibilities.
