Flexibility and Feedback-Key Elements of the New DOE-NASEO-ASERTTI
Cooperative RDD&D Funding Mechanism
Some months ago, DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable
Energy (EERE), NASEO, and ASERTTI began exploring a new way to fund
cost-shared energy efficiency research, development, demonstration, and
deployment projects. Recently, an agreement was reached to deliver this
funding through an arrangement administered by NASEO and managed by a
joint committee comprising representatives of NASEO, ASERTTI, and EERE.
What's in this new arrangement for you? Plenty of opportunities for large
and small states alike, and multi-state cooperation.

Demand Response: Customers Newest Resource
Customers are different. Some can curtail their right to use
electricity at times when grid prices are high or when reliability margins
are small. Demand response programs to capture this resource and fairly
compensate consumers are being developed and offered by system operators
and utilities. A small amount can have a large effect. This session will
focus on how states can guide these programs to address efficiency and
environmental goals.
