Kansas City International Airport Ground Transportation

Kansas City International Airport Ground Transportation Taxis, shuttle buses, limousines, and public transportation all link Kansas City International Airport with the city and surrounding region.

Passengers transfer between the airport terminals, and to and from the satellite parking lots, by using an airport shuttle bus system.

Airport Shuttle Bus System

Kansas City International Airport provides two internal shuttle bus services.

The Red Bus route connects the terminals and circle parking lots. The Blue Bus route connects the terminals with the satellite parking lots. Bus stops for both routes can be found near each terminal entrance and are marked by overhead signs. During peak hours, both services run approximately every ten minutes from the terminals.

Shuttle Bus Services

NASEO has secured a group link code through SuperShuttle for meeting attendees. The rate is $34.00 per person, one-way and $30.00 per person, each way for roundtrip (or $60.00 per person roundtrip). When making reservations with SuperShuttle, please be sure to include departure flight information so that SuperShuttle can prepare the appropriate amount of drivers and equipment to transport attendees to the airport in a timely fashion. Please allow two and a half to three hours prior to flight departure time to ensure adequate time to check-in at the airport ticket counter.

SuperShuttle tickets may also be purchased at the airport at the full price of $34.00 per person, one-way. In addition, for those who want to use SuperShuttle for departure purposes only ,  reservations can be made, at the $34.00 per person full price rate, through the hotel guest services desk or by calling SuperShuttle at 1.800.258.3826.

Taxi Services

Taxis at Kansas City International Airport are made available through various taxi service telephones located at the baggage claim areas in each terminal and outside terminal exits. Taxis serving the airport are required to carry passengers to any requested location, regardless of journey length. Shared rates are available upon request of the first passenger, providing all other passengers agree.

Limousine or Private Car

Limousines are available for transportation both to and from the airport through a number of private companies operating in the Kansas City area. Companies serving MCI include Airport Luxury and KCI Limo.

Public Transportation

Public buses serve Kansas City International Airport during the working week, Monday through Friday. Operated by The Metro, a local transport corporation, services run on direct routes that connect the airport with downtown Kansas City. Passengers must provide exact change to get tickets from the buses' ticket machines.

Driving Directions to the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel and Convention Center

From South

From I-35 South, take I-435 East to Metcalf Avenue. Turn right at the bottom of the exit onto Metcalf Avenue. Proceed to College Boulevard and turn left. Follow College Boulevard to the top of the hill, and the hotel is located on the left.

From West

From I-70 East, take I-435 South to Metcalf. Turn right at the bottom of the exit. Follow Metcalf to College Boulevard and turn left. Follow College Boulevard to the top of the hill, and the hotel is located on the left.

From East

From Interstate 70 West, take I-435 South to Nall Avenue. At the top of the exit, turn left and continue over the interstate. Turn right onto College Boulevard. Just over the top of the hill, you will see the hotel on the right.

From Kansas City International Airport

Take Interstate 29 South to Interstate 35 South. Continue on I-35 to Interstate 435 East, then exit Metcalf Avenue. Turn right and continue on Metcalf Avenue until you reach College Boulevard. Turn left and follow College Avenue to the top of the hill, and the hotel is located on the left.
