Beijing APEC Related Workshop Delivers Sustainable Development Expertise August 2002 NASEO’s August 2002 third major exchange with China was a great success, with three days of in-depth presentations from State Energy Directors and NASEO representatives in Beijing, China. The success of an earlier sustainable development technical assistance workshop held in Wuhan, China in January 2002, resulted in Chinese officials requesting additional assistance and hosting the Beijing event. With travel funding from the Export Council for Energy Efficiency, U.S. Department of Energy, and NASEO, state representatives donated their time to create and deliver presentations and follow-up assistance on topics ranging from transportation planning to building codes and commissioning to industrial efficiency program development. The NASEO delegation included David Terry, Carol Tombari, and Bill Nesmith (OR).
