NASEO Board of Directors Meeting Discusses SEO Transition Priorites and Welcomes New Members

On December 12-13, NASEO held its Winter Board of Directors Meeting in Arlington, Virginia to discuss State Energy Office policy and program priorities as the transition to a new Congress and the Trump Administration takes place.  and welcomed the following new executive committee members: Andrew McAllister, Commissioner, California Energy Commission, as Vice-Chair; Jeff Ackermann, Director, Colorado Energy Office, as Parliamentarian; and Michael Furze, Division Director, Washington State Energy Office, as Western Regional Representative. In addition, the Board recognized the service of Vice-Chair Mark Glick, Hawaii, and regional representative Asa Hopkins, Vermont.

The Board, along with several additional State Energy Office directors, also met with representatives of the Trump Energy Transition Team to stress the importance of robust and substantive State-DOE engagement on a broad range of energy issues.  The results of the meeting and next steps will be discussed during the NASEO Government Affairs Committee conference call on December 15, 2016 at 2:30pm ET.
