Michigan, Iowa, Mississippi, and California Participate in U.S.-Indian Energy Collaboration Strategy Meeting

On June 20, four State Energy Officials and NASEO participated in a strategy session as part of the U.S.-India State and Urban Initiative, a new project by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) to promote subnational cooperation between the United States and India on common energy challenges and opportunities. Among the topics of discussion were State Energy Officials’ leadership role in innovative energy policy and planning; engagement of key stakeholders, including private companies, local governments, utilities, and entrepreneurs; workforce development issues; and opportunities for best practice, information exchange, and collaboration with Indian states.
