Fossil Fuel Consumption Percentage Reduction Bill Introduced in House

Representative Ed Whitfield (R-KY), chair of the Energy and Power Subcommittee, introduced a bill to repeal the fossil fuel consumption percentage reduction requirements for federal buildings under the Energy Conservation and Production Act, H.R.2351.  The legislation has been referred to the House Committees on Energy and Commerce and Transportation and Infrastructure.  This is the companion bill to the Hoeven (R-ND)/Manchin (D-WV) amendment being considered in the Senate.
