Nebraska Approves Reroute of TransCanada’s Keystone XL Pipeline Project

The State of Nebraska recently completed its evaluation process of a proposed reroute of TransCanada’s Keystone XL Pipeline project.  The route reviewed in the Final Evaluation Report, which avoids the environmentally-sensitive Sand Hills region of Nebraska, was approved January 22 by Governor Heineman and a letter was to President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton notifying them of the accepted Nebraska route and requesting that Nebraska’s evaluation be included in the Department of State’s Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement.
