NASEO’s iREV Case Studies on Alternative Fuel Vehicles and Emergency Response

NASEO’s Initiative for Resiliency in Energy through Vehicles (iREV) released a series of case studies that feature stories from communities that have successfully used alternative fuel vehicles to prepare for and respond to disasters. Having a diverse fuel mix is one of the key resiliency strategies that municipalities and states employ to ensure continuous operations during extreme natural and man-made events. The four iREV reports highlight ways that communities and others have used biodiesel, electric, natural gas, and propane vehicles to assist with emergency operations in disasters, and also explores other benefits and considerations associated with the various fuels.
