Following the May 2025 signing of multiple executive orders accelerating new nuclear energy generation, the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE NE) has been actively working to implement the administration’s goal of 400 gigawatts of U.S. nuclear energy capacity by 2050. DOE NE has taken actions to strengthen the domestic nuclear fuel supply chain, advance microreactor testing, and deploy advanced reactors. On this webinar, DOE NE leadership will summarize the office’s recent actions, discuss the strategy guiding DOE funding opportunities, and highlight opportunities for engagement from State Energy Offices and public utility commissions.
