ChargePoint Announced as Winner of ALT Fuels Colorado DCFC EV Corridors Grant Program

Governor Hickenlooper and the Colorado Energy Office have announced ChargePoint as the winner of their ALT Fuels Colorado DCFC EV Corridors Grant Program. The $10.33 million grant will support the construction of 33 EV fast-charging stations along six key transportation corridors in the state.

Gov. Hickenlooper stated that the corridors were targeted to “give EV drivers the confidence to reliably travel to all corners of the state.” ChargePoint was selected as the winner for each of the six corridors. Kathleen Staks, Executive Director of the Colorado Energy Office said “ChargePoint brings technology built for today but capable of serving the next generation of EVs…Charging stations will be placed with well-known site hosts in locations that provide easy access, proximity to amenities and 24/7 charging availability.”

Colorado released the Colorado Electric Vehicle Plan earlier this year, and is working with seven other states through the REV West Memorandum of Understanding to create a seamless driving experience for EV drivers across the region. Additional information on Alt Fuels Colorado can be found here.
