On January 12, 2022, the University of Wyoming’s Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI), an initiative created and funded by the Wyoming state legislature, and a partner of the Wyoming Energy Authority, released a new pipeline mapping tool, the Wyoming Pipeline Coordinator Initiative (WPCI). WPIC is a mapping application that provides information on Wyoming’s carbon dioxide industrial facilities, corridor routes, active pipelines, and carbon dioxide usage and storage sites. The application is intended to facilitate further growth of oil and gas production and carbon, capture, utilization, and storage in Wyoming. The tool can be accessed here and more information on Wyoming’s oil and natural gas resources can be found in a report published by the Wyoming State Geological Survey, in conjunction with the release of the tool, here
