Mississippi Utilities File Quick Start Program Plans

On January 11, Mississippi’s PSC-jurisdictional utilities filed Quick Start program plans, in accordance with the state’s landmark energy efficiency rules. Adopted unanimously last July, these rules are expected to save consumers more than $2.3 billion and create 9,500 new jobs over the next 20 years.

Once the filings are approved by the Commission, utilities will have four months to begin implementation. More information on the rules is available on the SEEA website at http://goo.gl/nLcnyj.
