On November 14, 2022, the Colorado Energy Office and the Colorado Department of Transportation launched an EV education campaign to equip first-time EV drivers with information to help with their EV purchase. The newly launched “EV CO” website seeks to answer consumers’ questions by providing a guide to EV ownership including information about “ride and drive” events, how charging works, benefits of driving EVs, and details regarding Colorado’s EV tax credits. According to the Colorado Energy Office Executive Director Will Toor, “The EV CO website is a one-stop shop to connect Coloradans to the most current resources and answer all your EV-related questions.” The campaign reflects the Polis administration’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector while also promoting the financial and environmental benefits of driving an EV. Additionally, the campaign will support the state’s goal to have 940,000 EVs on Colorado roads by 2030. For more information please visit: evco.colorado.gov
