In February 2023, NASEO and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) officially launched the Advanced Nuclear State Collaborative (ANSC) with support from the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy. The ANSC convenes state utility regulators, State Energy Offices, and invited experts to exchange ideas, needs, and challenges related to the planning and deployment of new advanced nuclear generation. ANSC participants will share information on the regulatory, policy, and programmatic steps needed to facilitate the deployment of advanced nuclear and work with peers across different states.
