On September 15, Montana Governor Greg Gianforte announced the members of a new Unleashing American-Made Energy Task Force. Twenty members from across state government, industry, utilities, universities, and other key sectors were appointed along with Sonja Nowakowski, director of the state Department of Environmental Quality, who is set to chair the Task Force. The Task Force was created through Executive Order and will be responsible for developing short- and long-term policy recommendations and strategies for Montana to increase the supply of affordable and reliable energy.
