DOE Releases Visualization Tool for Energy Infrastructure Exposure to Storm Surge and Sea-Level Rise

Recently, DOE's Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability released an interactive tool to communicate the results of its pilot study, which assessed the impacts of sea level rise on energy infrastructure.  DOE undertook the pilot in support of its mission to improve the resilience of the electric grid in the face of extreme weather events. The tool includes interactive maps as well as associated images and text which are subsets of the full reports for the seven metropolitan statistical areas covered in the pilot study (New York City, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, and Norfolk). For more information on the visualization tool and pilot study, please visit the DOE website.
